St. Patrick's Day Word Search

I LOVE word searches and I have a fun St Patrick's Day word search just for you.

I think a word search game is a great way to relax, unwind, and a fun way of a taking a break in the middle of a full day of chaos.

We don't do a lot for March 17th in our house. We do wear green and there is usually some fun pinching going on. Maybe because we don't do a lot of Saint Patrick's day is why we've never found a pot of gold, lol!

One of the reasons I like word searches is that it's something that people of all ages can do. My neighbor with a 3rd grade daughter loves it when I create new puzzles, but her older children enjoy them as well. I'm known for making different free printables any time of year, as they are such great activities.

My teacher friends ask me for new ones regularly for classroom use.

They like that they can:

Incorporate vocabulary words
Work on spelling skills
The outlining the words also can help with fine motor skills.
They work for any grade level, especially for elementary-school-aged children.

And they love that it's not just another one of those educational computer games, they are putting pen or pencil to paper – or dry erase markers if they want to laminate them and use them year after year. (If you are doing that, I highly recommend printing them on white card stock for laminating.)

My neighbor's go all out celebrating the national holiday of Ireland. And they love all kinds of word puzzles, but they all love a fun word search. Melissa and Tim make all kinds of St. Patrick's day recipes and just embrace the fun holiday. While neither have a touch of Irish in them, they love the Irish culture. So these are more than just teaching aids, they are great for personal use as well.

For my crafters, the included coloring pages can spark some creative ideas. You can color in the images and use them to make cards, cupcake picks, even a fun garland.
