After a much needed mental break – a year to be exact, I'm back! After a string of things happening back to back to back last year, I just felt like you weren't going to get the best of me – and that's what you deserve.
I literally shut my craft room door and didn't go back into it for almost the entire year. Okay, that's not entirely true… I would open the door just wide enough to throw something in there and hope the door closed.
Then about a month ago, I pushed the door open and looked at the mess. It took me an entire weekend to sort and go through things. I had it in my mind that I would start Makeable Crafts back up, but with that kind of mess, I started to rethink things. It was that big a mess.
After donating a TON of supplies, I was able to see the joy in the possibilities of what could be made in that room and shared from that room.
I love possibilities!
My stomach has butterflies in it just thinking about what will be the first new blog post! I have a bazillion ideas – because I didn't quit buying craft supplies during my hiatus, I prefer to think of it as my new supplies were hibernating.
There are a lot of new craft items and trends that have taken place over the past year. I may be behind on them, but I don't care. I just love to inspire people with handmade crafty ideas – that's my one and only focus.
I have to rearrange my heavy desk in there for better lighting, and that takes Matt's help. He is not a fan of this desk, I LOVE it! I will share pictures as we get a better idea of how it will all be set up.
So more ideas are headed your way, and I can't wait for that.
What I have no idea on is how many people will 1) see this post 2) be excited about it. Remember those butterflies I mentioned? If you would leave a comment and let me know what you think, I would be delighted! Double bonus points for letting me know what kinds of projects you would like to see.
More soon!! XOXO, Meg
